Time for school to start already? There’s always a teacher you want to thank or a child going off to school you want to encourage. The ‘Picked for You’ stamp set has a distinctive style that includes three layers to the apple…perfect for using with the stamparatus stamping tool.
Here’s a couple of alternative ideas for the set that are fun to make and great for gift giving or craft fairs.
Basic Box for Candle:
*Cut a 6 3/4″ square piece of cardstock
*Score at 2″ on all four sides
*Cut through your score lines to the center square as pictured
*Fold on score lines
*Fold flaps in and glue together to make box
Embellish as desired…tuck in some decorative shred around candle and some buttons for some extra Pizzaz.
Gift Card Holder:
* Cut a 2 3/4 x 6 3/4″piece of cardstock
*Score at 4″ and fold
* Cut a half circle at end of 4# side
Embellish as desired
If you are interested in purchasing any of the items mentioned in this post, there is an INCENTIVE during AUG only. Stampin’Up! is giving a $5 certificate for every $50 in items purchased. The certificate is good for purchases in September.
The candle can be found at Ikea and the shred is from Dollar Tree. The card bases come from card kits I purchased prior at SU or from Paper Pumpkin Kits I received. Check both out as the value is definitely there. As an example and with Christmas coming, take a look at this steal of a deal I found in Clearance..
